Lycoming College Habitat for Humanity

Lycoming College Habitat for Humanity is a Christian based organization that has been active on campus for 15 years.  As a campus organization we are involved in campus wide activities such as Homecoming, Activity Fairs, Accepted Students Day, Little Siblings, and many more.

Each spring Lycoming Habitat participates in the Collegiate Challenge Spring Break program where students travel to other states to help build houses.  These student volunteers give up their spring break to help the less fortunate have decent affordable housing.

Lycoming College completed their first Habitat house that was dedicated in December 2003.  The house was built and funded by the college chapter and many generous donors.

Throughout the year we have many fundraisers such as our annual 5K Fun Walk/Run.  Other fundraisers include selling lemonade and hot chocolate at football games, carpet sales during First Weekend, and writing Santa Letters during the holiday season.

Lycoming College Habitat for Humanity welcomes all students to our meetings, held Wednesday nights at 9:00pm in the Lecture Hall in the Fine Arts Building to help in the fight to eliminate poverty housing.
