MISSION STATEMENT:

The Dance Club is established to provide the students at Lycoming College with an opportunity to meet new people and develop their dance skills. The Dance Club will add to the diversity of the arts at Lycoming College, and it will exist as a means of exercise and enjoyment for all members.

DANCE CLUB NEWS:

Currently we have eleven classes working toward our show in April!

ABOUT OUR ADVISOR: Dr. N.J. Stanley

N. J. Stanley, faculty advisor of Dance Club, is Assistant Professor of Theatre and Coordinator of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program at Lycoming College. She teaches courses in acting, directing, theatre history, and dramatic literature. She is also a stage director and has directed over 40 productions at colleges and universities across the United States. Credits include Lysistrata, The Laramie Project, Hedda Gabler, Macbeth, and Angels in America, Part I. Dr. Stanley received an M.F.A. in Directing from Florida State University and a Ph.D. in Theatre and Drama from Indiana University.
